Lamont Lenox is no stranger to Gospel music. Born into gospel music royalty as the son of music legends Pastor James Lenox (I Won’t Complain) and Mother Aldrea Lenox (longtime member of the Jessy Dixon Singers), he has traveled across the US and abroad including Africa, Europe and South America. The musical masterpieces of Lamont Lenox have been recorded and popularized by Rev. Clay Evans and the Fellowship Baptist Church Choir, the Church of God in Christ International Mass Choir, Reginald McCracken and the True Voices of Christ Concert Ensemble, the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar Mass Choir and more recently Dove Award nominee Dexter Walker and Zion Movement, The Brown Sisters and Light of Love.
Lamont gained notoriety as host of Testify, the Emmy nominated nationally syndicated gospel music showcase. Today, Lamont proclaims the gospel with power as pastor of Chicago’s historic Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and remains in demand as a psalmist and workshop clinician.
