In an awe-inspiring turn of events, Farreece Laron Cargill Grimmett, better known as Farreece G., has victoriously emerged from a 30-year battle with drug addiction, proving that the power of faith and music can indeed usher in profound transformation.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Farreece G. is a multifaceted artist - an actor, recording artist, songwriter, and casting director. His latest single, "Breakthrough," featuring his group Jeremiah with the mesmerizing Lillian Lloyd on lead vocals, serves as an anthem of hope, meant to inspire all those who feel forsaken, reminding them that they are never forgotten by God.

Farreece G. staunchly believes, irrespective of what people say or the tricks the enemy plays, freedom is attainable. His life stands testament to the saying that the promises of God are indeed 'yes and amen'.

Starting his musical journey in 2008, Farreece G. recorded his first single, "Jesus I'll Never Forget," while signed to 2nd Generation Records, produced by the Grammy Award winner Mike Powell. His prodigious talent led him to share stages as the opening act for Gospel luminaries such as Deitrick Haddon and Yolanda Adams and will be opening up for Tim Bowman Jr. on June 17, 2023. He has performed alongside notable personalities like Earnest Pugh, Lashaun Pace, Darryl Coley, and Jackie Clark of the Clark sisters.

But his talents don't stop at music. Farreece G.'s prowess extends to acting and he's had the privilege of sharing the screen with esteemed actors like Vivica Fox, Tyler Perry’s Brad James, Clifton Powell, Karl Reid from Commissioned, and many more.

He has been a part of several esteemed ensembles like the St James Adult Choir (Perfected Praise), Melvin E. Raines and the Saints, GMWA, and Deitrick Haddon and the Voices of Unity. His experiences span multiple realms, including being the casting director for both Pop Productions and Murray Productions.

Adding another feather to his cap, Farreece G. stars in two upcoming television series, "Fake Friends" and "Confessions," which have been picked up by SONY and will be released soon. These projects reflect his persistent dedication to his craft and his commitment to spreading his message of hope and redemption.

Farreece G.’s incredible journey from overcoming addiction to flourishing as a gifted artist is an encouraging reminder that no matter the tribulations one faces, with faith, persistence, and a little bit of divine intervention, one can indeed rise above and experience their very own "Breakthrough."
