"WE CARE & WE CAN GOSPEL CONCERT"

The first annual QUEENS GOSPEL FESTIVAL '05, also dubbed "WE CARE & WE CAN GOSPEL CONCERT," will convene at Roy Wilkins Park, near the Pond, on Saturday, September 24th, from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Enter Roy Wilkins Park at Foch & Merrick Blvds., in Jamaica, Queens.

Although all genres of Gospel music will be featured during this free seven- hour extravaganza, the overall purposes of this musical event will be to collect food, clothing, and donations for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina, as well as to spread the spirit of goodwill and brotherly love in our community.

Special guest artists will be the famed Institutional Radio Choir, a highly popular veteran choir that has been singing the Gospel all over the world for more than 50 years, and LFT'S Celebration Choir, of Brooklyn's Love Fellowship Tabernacle, which is pastored by the renowned Grammy-winning choir director and spiritual leader, Rev. Hezekiah Walker, plus hot Gospel quintet, Shabach, Lady Peachena, The Great Divas of Gospel, Craig Crawford & Players, Blessed Hope, Curtis Haywood & Trio, Missy B., G.O. Praise Dancers, rappers - Mandatory, Poka, & Missionary Men, DJ Tony Tone, plus many others.

This outreach benefit Gospel concert is for people who care and can make a difference, so everyone is asked to bring "something" - food, clothing, or monies to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In case of rain, the Concert's raindate will be Saturday, October 1st, 05.

This exciting Gospel Concert is being produced by Platinum Peachtree Productions, WWW.INeedAMusician.com, and the Southern Queens Parks Association (SQPA). For more info call 718-845-9640.
