KAREN CLARK SHEARD AND KIERRA "KIKI" SHEARD ARE ALIVE AND WELL IN SPITE OF RUMOURS!

This weekend radio stations in Florida began to announce that gospel legend and Word Records recording artist Karen Clark Sheard had been killed in an auto accident and that her EMI Gospel recording artist daughter, Kierra "KiKiĆ¢" Sheard, was injured in the same crash.

They are both alive and well, says a representative who works with Karen Clark Sheard Ministries in Detroit. Sister Sheard and Kierra were not anywhere near Florida this weekend. They were in Indianapolis.

Karen Clark Sheard's latest CD "It's Not Over" (Word/Curb/Warner Bros.) was released two weeks ago and debuted at #4 on the gospel sales chart and landed on the Billboard Hot 200 sales chart as well. USA Today newspaper recently gave the CD three and a half stars. The reviewer wrote that, "the fourth solo effort by the youngest member of the Clark Sisters showcases a singer of great depth at the top of her game."
