Renowned Announcer Gets New Radio Shift and Has New Address...Denise Hill, affectionately known as the Gospel Lady, is back at XM Satellite Radio's The Spirit gospel music format (channel 33). When the network launched in 2001, program director Jay Bryant and Hill were the format's only on-air personalities.
Now that she's back, Hill is still the channel's only female announcer. Her new program is broadcast nationally, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 12: 00 pm EST on XM channel 33-The Spirit and on DirectTV Channel 827.
A seasoned motivational speaker, Hill is heard weekly on her top-rated Sunday morning gospel program on WKYS 93.9 FM, an urban hip hop station in the Washington, D.C. market. Also a gifted actress, Hill has received national acclaim for her one-woman stage play, "A Woman and Her Well," where she plays six different characters that echo the challenges and lessons of the Biblical Samaritan woman at the well.
