BEVERLY CRAWFORD’S NEW CD “THANK YOU, FOR ALL YOU’VE DONE” IS IN STORES NOW
Powerhouse Singing Evangelist Beverly Crawford, who counts notables as varied as President Obama and Patti LaBelle as fans, is back on the music scene in a major way after a four-year gap in album releases. The welterweight vocalist known for her classic, down-home gospel recordings such as “It’s About Time for a Miracle,” “He’s Done Enough” and the roof-raising gem “Jesus, Precious King” is back on the Top 30 gospel radio chart with her spine-tingling remake of The Caravans’ 1962 hit “Sweeping Through the City.” The Gainesville, FL native's 7th solo CD "Thank You For All You’ve Done" (EchoPark JDI Entertainment) is in stores now. "I am so excited about my new CD,” Crawford says in a message to her fans. “I want everyone to go get it and I know it will bless you."
The new dozen-track CD was recorded live at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, TX and jointly produced by Crawford’s longtime team of Michael Bereal and Professor James Roberson. It’s an engaging balance of the traditional, Sunday morning church-styled songs Crawford is known for alongside well-crafted contemporary praise and worship songs by noted composers such as Melvin Williams, Derrick Lee, Stan Jones and Rodney Posey. Album highlights are the beautiful worship ballad “Inhabit My Praise,” a new rendition of Crawford’s bluesy signature song “Jesus, Precious King” and the gut-wrenching show-stopping song of gratitude, “Thank You For All You’ve Done.”
Crawford has spent the last two decades in the gospel spotlight as one of the primary exponents of the traditional gospel genre. After spending some years as a featured singer on BET’s “Bobby Jones Gospel” TV program, she released her debut CD “Jesus, Precious King” in 1995. Along the way, she’s performed at campaign rallies for President Obama, earned a Grammy Award nomination and even done a duet with Natalie Cole on national TV. Her biggest album to date is 2007’s “Live From Los Angeles” (featuring the radio smash “He’s Done Enough”) that dominated the Billboard Charts for over 70+ weeks and garnered 7 Stellar Award nominations including CD of the Year, Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, etc. Crawford and her husband/ manager Todd Crawford currently co-pastor The Gainesville Family Worship Center in Gainesville, FL.
