Singing Sensation Trina Davis Shares Personal Testimony
with the Release of her New Single
When I'm In Need
Vocal powerhouse Trina Davis celebrates God’s consistency in her new single, When I’m in Need, produced by Michael Houston. As a wife, mother of 5 and minister of the gospel, Trina has seen the handiwork of God and can attest first hand to His miraculous power and intervention in her life as well as in the lives of those around her. This makes the message of When I’m In Need very near and dear to her heart.
Growing up in Chicago, Trina easily admits “music played a major part in my life and I come from a singing family.” Both of her parents played an active role in the church scene, helping Chicago maintain its distinction as the “Gospel music capital of the world”, and Trina and her siblings took direction from their parents lead. Trina’s musicality was also shaped by the music of Commissioned, The Clark Sisters and the Winans family as well as Pattie Labelle and Anita Baker.
Trina finds herself most comfortable when she is able to empower people and deliver the gospel in word and song each week at Word for the World Ministries, where she shares pastoral duties with her husband Joe. The tradition continues even today as Joe and Trina’s children share the family gift of musical creativity and artistic influence. As Trina is at work on her new CD, the endeavor becomes a family affair as she is joined by her children. The very proud mother exclaims, “I’m excited to have my children lend their talents to this project. To have them be a part is a dream come true.” The new disc will offer music that speaks to present day life situations and offers hope and healing to people from all walks of life.
