Benita Farmer Debuts New Single Mender of Me

BENITA FARMER DEBUTS MENDER OF ME

Singer/songwriter Benita Farmer tackles real life issues to offer restoration and healing in Mender of Me, her new single available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital outlets.

The Philadelphia native has watched in amazement as her gift has afforded her several opportunities to travel across the country and abroad, inspiring young and old alike with her musical interpretations.  Farmer was blessed to receive her early musical instruction from the hand of her mother, gospel music legend Bishop Barbara Ward Farmer.   A graduate of Temple University, she continues to impact the lives of young people as a music educator in the Camden, New Jersey school system.

Empowered by the Great Commission to “Go into all the world with the gospel”, Farmer was inspired to pen Mender after coming across people with various hurts, both in and outside of the church.  Partnering with songwriters Angela King and Jamar Jones (executive minister of music for Bishop TD Jakes) and production assistance coming from Anthony Bell (Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Jazmine Sullivan, Usher) Mender of Me provides melodic medication and the answer to every problem and condition in Jesus Christ.

Farmer continues to minister wherever there is an open door, visiting churches, concert halls, prisons and juvenile facilities. Farmer recently debuted Mender of Me at the annual National Youth and Music Conference of the Churches of the Living God in Chicago opening for recently signed Eone recording artistTodd Dulaney.  Additional performances are scheduled throughout the summer and early fall.
