They’ve Been Trained presents: Color of Love

They’ve Been Trained is speaking to their generation in a language that they can understand. Their platform is Urban/Inspirational, and with all of the youth on youth violence, school shootings, and the racially motivated murders in the last decade; their new EP release comes bearing a message of “LOVE & UNITY”. Not only is the message heard in the lyrical content of their songs, but it can also be seen during live performances as they dance across the stage and use life issue skits to further leave a visual message imprinted in the minds of those in the audience. It is TBT’s desire to see their generation rise to the occasion and prove to the world that they will not be X’d out by youth on youth murder, suicide, and gang violence. Instead, they declare that their generation will revolutionize the world in a profound way.

It was in 2007, under the direction of their parents, AJ & Colette Darby and Elder George and Dr. Jacqueline Stewart of the AGQC, that TBT began to be trained about the importance of using their gifts to positively impact the lives of others. The group consists of four siblings, Joseph, A’saph, Christian, and Christopher, and at the ages of 19; 16; 15 and 13 years old, TBT have already traveled a path that has caused them to stand out in every neighborhood and youth group that they have ever lived in or been a part of. They are known to be polite, trust worthy, and believers. They have the attitude that you can either work hard and see the manifestation of what God has spoken concerning your life, or you can be lazy and be a worker of someone else’s vision.

“Like so many others, we’ve been called to our generation.” says Christian, the only girl and lead singer of the group. “The message is the same, but our method is just a little different.” Therefore, it is their hope that as people listen to their music and experience their ministry, lives and minds can be changed, people can be healed and delivered, and a dying generation can find hope, happiness, and love through Christ Jesus.
