MAKE THEIR RECORDING DEBUT
WITH A SINGER'S POINT OF VIEW
The city of Chicago carries the distinctive moniker of “Gospel Music Mecca” with a documented reputation for introducing great singing aggregations to the world. Hailing from Chicago’s west side now comes Paul Turner and Creation Ministries Incorporated (CMI). This 25 member ensemble comprised of young men and women with a love for God and music continue the tradition and standard of musical excellence set by legendary Chicago groups including the renowned Thompson Community Singers and the Treadwell Community Choir.
An accomplished musician, arranger, songwriter and in demand producer, Paul Turner joined the Lake Street Community Choir in the post of musician. Turner would assume leadership of the group shortly thereafter and saw a need to rechristen the choir as Creation Ministries. Turner believes the choir’s mission is straightforwardly identified in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should walk in them. United in faith and singularity of purpose, CMI boldly goes forth to inspire, uplift and encourage people from all walks of life, exemplifying hope found through salvation in Jesus Christ. A strong advocate of education and community collaboration, Paul Turner and CMI impact at risk inner city youth through “Good Works” via mentoring programs, music and fine arts education and various outreach initiatives.
Ministry minded and equipped with fortitude and determination, Paul Turner and CMI are ready to assume their place amongst the ranks of iconic gospel choirs with the release of their debut CD, A Singer’s Point of View on Needle Gate Records.
