Chicago, IL (June 2015) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Mavis Staples, legendary gospel organist Pastor Maceo Woods and iconic preacher Apostle Richard D. Henton will receive lifetime achievement recognition during the 2015 Chicago Gospel Music Awards to be held on Friday, June 19th at Chicago's Christ Universal Temple.
The Staple Singers left an indelible imprint on the American consciousness and is recognized as one of the early progenitors of message music.
